I called on a Saturday at 11:15am to ask if they were opened. They answered and asked if they put me on hold. No problem. But then 13 minutes gone by and no one got back to me. I was hoping to order ahead through the phone but it looks like I had to go there in person to order. We were already on the way so I ordered when I got there. They said we had to wait 20-25 minutes and luckily it only took like 15 minutes for 4 type of sushi rolls. The sushi selection all sounded and looked really good. Their presentation is really beautiful and drool worthy. I appreciate how the rolls were reasonably priced and actually tasted yummy. My friends and I got the Crunchy mango roll, Splash brothers roll, Triple tail, and Boujee signature roll. I really enjoyed the crunchy mango which reminded me a mango crunch from Kenzo Sushi in SJ. Iykyk. The fish tasted fresh and I like my sushi saucy but not too soggy. It was just the right amount of sauce. Not too much rice. I like how they even have baked rolls. I need to come back to try their lion king roll. Besides the negative interaction I had in the beginning, I do give them the benefit of the doubt (maybe they were busy and forgot) but I would come back because the sushi was THAT good. We all enjoyed our sushi!!

Placed order online for take-out on a Tuesday evening and it was ready within 15 minutes. We ordered 2 crunchy mango rolls. It tasted fresh and delicious! Portions were pretty generous and prices were reasonable (cheaper end compared to other Bay Area sushi spots). The store itself is a hole-in-the-wall type of vibe in a strip mall with a small designated parking lot.

Delicious sushi and good service are what stood out for me when I stopped by Kakuna. The exterior and interior are nothing fancy but the sushi is very good and the fish is fresh. I stopped by on a Saturday right around 5pm and it wasn't too busy. There's plenty parking and I got seated immediately. The service was attentive throughout my dinner. I ordered the salmon nigiri combo and a chicken bento. The nigiri was delicious. The fish was fresh and I enjoyed each piece of nigiri. The bento has a lot of food and I probably ate too much. The chicken teriyaki was moist with good flavor. The bento comes with miso soup, a salad and rice with a protein. Overall a solid place for sushi and good service.

Came here in a Friday night, and got seats right away but it was a bit packed. The table we got was unfortunately wobbly and was a bit distracting. The service and staff are friendly. For food we got: Nigiri moriwase: price seems pretty good compared to other places. Fish felt a bit more fresh than most bay area places in this price range. Would recommend this if you like raw fish Kakuna roll: portion was big, solid roll Boujee: this comes with roll and lobster tail tempura. The roll is ok but the lobster tail tempura is pretty good. Overall, this is a solid sushi place, prices are fair and food is good. Would definitely come back!
